A native of South Georgia, Bob Reid enjoys using tools and his imagination to create items of both practical and artistic value with glass, slate, stone, wood, plastic and new materials. He received his M.F.A in Technical Theatre and Lighting Design from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and has taught at Mercer University in Atlanta. Since returning to the South in 1981, Bob has worked in the convention/display industry, prop development for several movies and has his own custom sign business. Bob maintains his curiosity and willingness to experiment and grow as a craftsman and an artist.

Bob and his wife, Gail, now reside in Newnan, Georgia and travel to Germany to visit their daughter, Gwendolyn, who is an opera singer. They also have two puppies named Miss Gracie & Bear.
